As an elite provider of Lawrence and Topeka Invisalign, we have quite a bit of knowledge andInvisalign experience when it comes to the Invisalign system. Our orthodontists are huge fans of this state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment, and if you ever decide to get Invisalign, chances are, you will be a huge fan of it too.

Please read these common questions that our orthodontist hear about Invisalign, and if you’d like to learn more, be sure to contact us!

How is Invisalign different from braces?

The primary difference between Invisalign and traditional metal braces is that Invisalign is completely clear. Invisalign consists of clear, plastic trays that are inserted over your teeth. These trays are completely removable, so you are able to speak, eat, drink, brush and floss without the trays in. It is very difficult to notice that someone is wearing Invisalign, making this treatment ideal for those who do not want noticeable orthodontic treatment.

Does Invisalign hurt?

About every two weeks, your Lawrence and Topeka orthodontist will be giving you a new set of aligners. Some do experience discomfort when adjusting to a new set of aligners, however this is not permanent. Remember that any discomfort felt will be more than worth it once you see the end result – a beautiful smile.

How long does Invisalign take to get to the desired end result?

As stated on Invisalign’s website, it typically takes about 12 months to complete treatment with the Invisalign system, however, this varies on a patient-by-patient basis.

Does Invisalign work as well as braces?

The efficacy of treatments definitely depends on your particular situation, so it is important to consult your Topeka and Lawrence orthodontist to see which treatment is best suited for your situation.

Can my child get Invisalign?

While we do offer Invisalign Teen, we generally believe that traditional braces are the best solution for younger children. Please keep in mind that Invisalign should be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day, so if your young child is unable to do so, we should consider alternate treatment methods.

What is the cost of Invisalign?

The cost of treatment varies, depending on your needs, timeline, insurance, and other factors. At Hamilton, Wilson & Hendrickson Orthodontics, we do offer CareCredit, a financing option. Please speak with a member of our team to learn more about payment options that we have in place!
